A friend has just sent in this verse by Rumi. It comes from his Pakistani friend who has been dealing with recurring cancer. Rumi is not as mean spirited as I am. Incidentally I am not biting my nails.
"This being human is a guest house
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
Some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they are a crowd of sorrows, who violently sweep your house empty Of its furniture, still treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
Meet them at the door laughing, and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
Because each has been sent as a guide from beyond."

Dear PV, you have a beautiful smile, and, yes, you do remind me a lot of somelovely young boys monks Isaw in Srilankamany years ago.I once had a dream that one of them would come to meet me down from a green mountain.
Have a wonderful time in Dubai, I remember passing through on my way to India when they had just erected the new airport. Stunning, and with classical music inside.
I am afriend of Asha, called Fabrizia
Beautiful words as always from Rumi. Few know he was an Afghan.
